Preliminary Report on the Violation Against the Iraq Protest of October 2019

On November 10, Al-Namaa Center for Human Rights launched its preliminary summary report on violations  happened against demonstrators , covering the period  1 October to 7 November, this  brief report will be followed by detailed thematic report .

 The report tackled  and mentioned  various issues, the use of deadly force against protestors , attacks and crimes against activists and supporters of demonstrations such as assassinations, abductions, arbitrary arrests , as well as violations of rights of freedom of expression and restricted access to information .

We express our deep concerns over the high number of killed protestors  and the continued use of  extensive use of force against the demonstrators. We call up on all government parties to immediately stop the violence and resort to the language of dialogue.
